~At JM Frame we specialize in custom handmade frames using archival and acid free materials to preserve and protect your valuable art. We make closed corner frames using wooden splines to fasten the joint, so it's just glue and wood. Closed corner means that we cut and join the frame and when the glue has dried we sand it as a whole frame. Then we apply a finish to it with paint, stain, wax or polyurethane. ~

John Melville is the owner and entrepreneur behind JM Frame. As a child, John first learned the art of custom picture framing at his family’s fine art framing business in the Midwest. After a move to New York City, he was able to develop his skills further by framing for top galleries, collectors, and artists. He brings over 30 years of experience to JM Frame.

More and more artists are moving to towns like Saugerties, Kingston, Woodstock, Hudson and Catskill to name a few. John hopes to help fill the void for a framing need as he
recently relocated his business to Saugerties in the Catskill Mountains, but still serves clients in the New York City area with weekly deliveries and consultations.
